On April 12th and 13th, a solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the fifth season of the International Award "My affectionate and necessary animal" will take place.
The project, which has no analogues in the world, was established in Zelenogradsk five years ago. In the first category of the award, animals (regardless of species and class) are awarded for truly human actions. In the other two nominations, the winners are animal rights activists who have shown nobility and courage to save our younger brothers, as well as journalists and bloggers who inform society about the problems of human interaction with the world around us.
On Friday, April 12th, the winners of the third creative nomination will be awarded.
This year, 148 journalists and bloggers from 51 regions of the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of Russian-language publications from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan sent 263 works to the competition. Among the laureates and diplomats are foreign journalists, correspondents of central and regional newspapers and channels from Kaliningrad to the Far East. Thus, due to the relevance of the stated topic, this year the creative nomination was reformatted into an international competition for Russian-speaking media - the first in the history of the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation.
The next day, on Saturday, the winners in the nomination for our little brothers, as well as the laureates in the nomination "Responsible for those" will be honored.
In the fifth season, 65 candidates from 34 regions of the Russian Federation, as well as from Azerbaijan, Great Britain, USA, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Peru applied for the award in these nominations. The story of each prize–winner and diploma winner is touching and instructive, under whatever circumstances the heroes committed their bright, resonant deeds - on the line of fire or in peaceful life.
