A Labrador named Sardelle was picked up five years ago by the head of the Simferopol shelter for dogs "Labradome" Dmitry Frolov, writes the portal "GardInfo".
In addition to a good appetite, which is why the dog was given such a nickname, the Sardelle has excellent search abilities. Dog handlers were engaged with her — they taught her how to save people in the mountains and forests. The dog participated in many rescue operations, including the search for children. In October 2022, an instructor who worked with a Labrador, along with a dog, went to Donbass as a volunteer.
"It was not easy to let them go there, but I was told about those who died under the rubble of destroyed buildings. I knew my dog would help. She is experienced and prepared," said Dmitry Frolov, the owner of the Sardelle.
Sardelle successfully completed a number of combat missions. She helped rescue people from the rubble, found and defused mines. After two rocket arrivals at the school where the search group was based, it was decided to take Sardel and the dog handler out of the area of their own.
After working for three weeks, they returned home. The very next day, Sardela participated in the search for a 16-year-old girl who disappeared in Crimea.
