The nomination "Our brothers": The guest of the shelter "Ferry" became the main supplier of dog hair for knitted socks and other warm clothes, which are sent for a "ribbon".
Volt Yeremeyevich is the name of our hero. He has been living in the Surgut shelter "Ferry" for the fifth year. As a puppy, he and his entire brood were dropped off in an ordinary box at the doors of a homeless animal center. The five puppies found their owners, but Volt and his brother and sister stayed. But who would have known that this particular dandelion dog would become a real messenger of warmth for fighters in the zone of a special military operation, - the journalists tell Vesti Yugoria.

"This is a huge fluffy cloud that will run to meet you and give you its love. This baby looks huge, but at heart he is still a child who needs love and care! And it is he who gives us the most wool," says Alexandra Nurieva, head of the Give a Paw regional movement for homeless animals in Surgut.
The idea of combing shelter dogs in the Ferry originated a long time ago. Volunteers are immediately offered to get to work here, and special brushes are distributed.
"Many guests of the Ferry are combing out, we combed the tails in spring, summer and autumn. On a walk we put out a box with combs and a bag with packages. And anyone can comb a dog. Volt, of course, provides the most valuable material. He's a sheep dog!", continues Alexandra Nurieva.

But before deciding to give all the wool for recycling, the volunteers searched for a very long time in Surgut for a master who would take up spinning a thread from dog hair. He became a new volunteer of the shelter, Sergey Vasilyevich, who makes yarn for a small fee.
"We comb out about 50 dogs. We put the hair of each dog in a separate bag, since the quality is different for everyone. And only then our Sergey Vasilyevich disassembles, sorts, spins and washes woolen threads. Now we are also planning to comb and transfer the hair of dogs on overexposure at home in order to tie socks," they say in the Ferry.

The first batch of dog hair socks has already left in a parcel with humanitarian aid for the "ribbon". And in the photo of a small insert for the fighters is the main character, he is also the ambassador of the action - fluffy Volt.
"We really thank our girls who knitted socks, I barely managed to snatch a pair for myself while the guys sorted out the socks. Because we already have a queue for them, everything that you have conveyed is very necessary", - а Surgut fighter with the call sign "Shah" wrote for "Pereprava" and Volt in his greetings from the front.

And such an action does not end there. The volunteers also plan to tie belts made of dog hair for the soldiers, which are known for their healing properties. But the fact that Volt Yeremeyevich will become the main supplier of material for warm clothes, the people of Surgut no longer doubt.
