Alyona the lynx, a resident of the Siberian Zoo in Irkutsk— is a real mother heroine. During her 6 years, she raised many foster children, says Komsomolskaya Pravda in Irkutsk.
Lynx appeared in Irkutsk when she was only a month old. As AIF-Irkutsk wrote, she was bought out of the Moscow animal farm. Alena was raised there, like many other animals, for fur.
In the Siberian Zoo, Alyona nursed the one-and-a-half-month-old cubs Manya and Tema, then took custody of five puppies of Alaskan malamutes, then volunteered to raise the main local tomboy raccoon Zhorik. Then she adopted kittens twice, which were transported to the zoo to find their owners.
Recently, the lynx gave birth to its first daughter, baby Taiga, but the lynx turned out to be weak, it was given to the zoo veterinarian Irina Korobeynikova for nursing. Taiga grew up, got stronger and became good friends with the dogs living at Irina's house.
