The "National Hero", which is chosen by Internet users as part of the "Popular Vote", is an independent award nomination.
The winner of the audience award for the sixth season will be invited to Zelenogradsk for the award ceremony in April and will take the stage, receive honors and recognition along with other winners.
Following the results of the sixth season, 64 nominees were included in the voting ballots. There are 20 candidates from the nomination "Our Brothers", 44 participants are "Responsible for those ...".
Each of our nominees is unique and interesting in its own way. Therefore, the organizing committee of the Award encourages you to literally plunge into the history of the wonderful candidates of the sixth season, in order to choose your favorite later. Believe us, you are guaranteed a lot of positive emotions!
We are very much counting on the correct behavior of all voting participants.
Campaigning for your favorite nominees is allowed and even encouraged. You can do this on your social networks or in the media. But we ask you to behave with dignity, we do not welcome counteragitation or other unfair ways of fighting for the title of national hero.
Every week, the organizing committee will post information about the progress and pace of voting on the Award's website. According to the results of the popular vote in each nomination, and these are "Our brothers" and "Responsible for those ..." one winner will be selected.
This means that there will be two “People's Heroes” (if by coincidence several leaders of the voting in each nomination do not receive equal support from Internet users). And we will invite everyone to the solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the International Award "My affectionate and necessary animal", which will be held in Zelenogradsk in April 2025.
We remind you that our professional jury will work in parallel with the "Popular Vote". The arbitrators will choose the winners not only in the two categories of the Award, but will also name the best in the “By Pen and Heart” contest for Russian-language media and bloggers.

THE RULES OF POPULAR VOTING:
The rules of the "Popular Vote" are an integral part of the Regulations on the procedure for holding the International Award "My Affectionate and Necessary Animal 2024".
The "Popular Vote" is an independent nomination for the "My Affectionate and Necessary animal" award, which is not influenced by either the organizing committee or the jury. Those who are declared in the nominations "Our brothers" and "Responsible for those ..." take part in the "Popular Vote".
The winners (People's Heroes) receive a separate award as part of the Awards.
The results of the "Popular Vote" do not affect the opinion of the jury members and cannot be the basis for reviewing the results of the jury's work. The work of the arbitrators ends before the results of the popular vote are summed up.
The Organizing Committee does not exclude a situation when the choice of the jury and Internet users in the framework of the "Popular Vote" may fall on the same nominee. Such decisions are not subject to review.
You can cast your vote for your favorite character in both nominations ("Our Brothers", "Responsible for those ...") only on the official website of the Award.
In order to exclude vote tampering, it is allowed to vote once a day in both nominations every day during the whole period of the “Popular Vote”.
In case of detection of vote rigging (via VPN, etc.), the Organizing Committee reserves the right to remove such votes from the participant of the popular vote. And reserves the right (at its discretion) to publish the fact of fraud detection.
In accordance with the Regulations of the International Award “My Affectionate and Necessary Animal 2024”, the organizing committee of the Award has the right to disqualify nominees for violation of the Rules of “Popular Vote”.
Deadlines for the “Popular Vote”:
Voting for the “People's Hero” will be held on the official website of the “My Affectionate and Necessary Animal” award in two stages.
- The first stage starts on January 20, 2024 and ends on February 5. According to the results of the first stage, five candidates in each nomination will be determined, who will receive the most votes. They will continue to fight for the title of "People's Hero".
- The second stage will be held from 6 to 26 February.
- The results of the "Popular Vote" will be published on the award's official website and on our official social media pages.
