Residents of one of the districts of the Turkish capital with the romantic name Fashion have created a unique community for helping street animals.
They do not try to domesticate them or take them into apartments, but maintain a familiar and comfortable lifestyle — feeding cats and dogs in their chosen territory, without provoking conflicts with other animals and without violating their hierarchy. Each cafe has its own shaggy or fluffy patron, who is on their allowance. To promote the unique ecosystem created in Fashion, daily guided tours are organized here... local dogs and cats.
The innovation is popular with tourists, on excursions you can not only learn stories about the life of one or another "tailed attraction", but also about all the details of the created system of caring for smaller brothers.
— All funds from the excursions go to the veterinary care of our pets, — said the activist of the unusual project Burja Tarskian. — We deliberately do not take dogs and cats off the streets, allowing them to live in a familiar environment. Until the animal, due to age and concomitant diseases, begins to feel discomfort. Then one of the residents takes him to his house so that his old age will pass in comfort and personal care.
