Dear friends, there are only a few days left before the time when the finalists of the "Popular's Vote" will be determined.
As in previous seasons, the first week of Internet users' choice was overclocked. Over the past seven days, the dynamics has increased significantly. In two weeks, a total of 80,000 votes were received for the candidates in both nominations.
At the same time, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that in the "Responsible for those" nomination, supporters of candidates are much more active (more than 54,000 votes), although the rules provide for the possibility to vote in two nominations at once. Without forcing anyone, the organizing committee nevertheless asks you to pay attention to the exploits and worthy deeds of our younger brothers. They deserve it.
And, of course, we cannot but be pleased with the fact that the voting participants are behaving very correctly. Despite some competition, the organizing committee considers all the candidates of the season worthy of respect and is glad that our associates share the same opinion.
Now about each nomination separately.
"Our brothers." We can say that the leaders are coming in a very tight group. The gap from the fifth place required for the finals to the ninth is only 43 votes. Applicants are published in the order of application numbers, not in the order of leadership.
The top five favorites of the "Popular's Vote" in the "Our Brothers" nomination at the time of publication are as follows: Pobeda the mongrel from Samara, Bagheera the cat, Snow Leopard the Kamchatka shepherd, Zair the service dog from Ussuriysk, Zakharya the hippopotamus from the Kazan Zoo.
The situation in the "Responsible for those" nomination is no less intriguing.
There has also been a rotation in the list of favorites. We publish candidates in the order of application numbers, not in the order of leadership.
The top five in the "Responsible for those..." nomination are the Dog House shelter from Tomsk, schoolgirl Varvara Guznaeva from the Lipetsk region, rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Veliky Novgorod, Alyona Kravtsova from Rostov-on-Don, a team of residents of Kamchatka, volunteers, rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the State Inspectorate for Small-Sized Vessels.
However, among the candidates in the "Responsible for those..." nomination, twelve candidates are competing for the finals until the last minute of the first round. The difference in the established group of leaders is really insignificant.
We remind you that this Wednesday, February 5, the first round of the "Popular Vote" will be completed. The next day, on February 6, the second stage of the "Popular Vote" will start and we will announce the names of the five finalists in each nomination. Voting will end on February 26. It is based on the results of the second round of voting that the winners in the "People's Hero" nomination will be named.
The winners of the "Popular Vote" will be invited to the award ceremony of the International Prize "My affectionate and necessary animal", which will be held in Zelenogradsk in April.
