The seventh season of the "Shaggy Oscar" is waiting for its heroes!

Dear friends, the organizing committee of the International Award  "My affectionate and necessary animal" and the International Competition for Russian-language Media and Bloggers "By Pen and Heart" announces the start of the seventh season.

Traditionally, we turn to you, dear supporters, with a request to help in the selection of bright and interesting applications: real heroes among our smaller brothers, who taught us lessons of heroism, wisdom and selfless love. And no less impressive stories about people who do not know how to betray and respect the animal world.

And, of course, the organizing committee is looking forward to relevant and talented works from our colleagues - journalists and bloggers, covering all the problems and nuances of the relationship between man and his smaller brothers.

To avoid confusion, we would like to ask you to review the Regulations on the 2025 Award for Animals and Animal Rights Activists on our website before submitting applications (there is a separate application form for nominees). It is also worth studying the Regulations governing the International Competition for Russian-language Media “By Pen and Heart”. We would like to draw special attention to the participants of the media contest “By Pen and Heart”  in accordance with the Regulations, publications are accepted only by e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. Applications for participation in the International Award "My Affectionate and Necessary Animal-2025" are accepted until January 15, 2026 inclusive.

The organizing committee has no doubt that the seventh season of our project will be no less bright and interesting than the previous ones. This, of course, depends on each of us!

The purpose of the "My Affectionate and Necessary Animal" award is to pay tribute to heroes from among our smaller brothers who have committed deeds worthy of respect or raised important current issues in our society, as well as people who have distinguished themselves most in the cause of protecting the animal world.
