We announce the winners of the "Popular Vote"!

We announce the winners of the "Popular Vote"!

The five-week election marathon ended at 8:00 a.m. Kaliningrad time on March 2.

We state that all candidates, without exception, behaved with the utmost civility and respect toward other candidates. For this, a huge thank you to each and every one of you! The goal of our project as a whole, and the online voting in particular, was and has been to unite people who are responsible for their younger brothers. People who are kind, compassionate and noble.

Before we announce the results of your selection, we want to address once again those who didn't make the list of winners and laureates this season. Our dear, respected heroes! You are heroes and nothing less. One glance at the final ballot is enough to understand: each of you was voted for not only by family and friends, but also by complete strangers. This means that with your heroic deeds, you awakened the wise, kind and eternal in someone. And you've surely inspired others to do something important and humane. Once again, let's repeat the maxim of the Award: in our project, of course, there are winners, but there are no losers! Thank you for your kindness, which knows no boundaries and distances.

And now it's time to announce the statistics and the winners of the "Popular Vote". In five weeks, a total of 180,253 votes were cast for all candidates.  The protocols of the "Popular  Vote" have already been posted on our website so that everyone can see how many votes were cast for each candidate.

In the nomination "Our Brothers", the undisputed winner was the Labrador Retriever Dark. The shaggy employee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus has saved nine lives in different parts of our big planet.

The "Monastery Cats" project, founded by Mother Arsenia, a nun at the Zadonsk Nativity of the Theotokos Monastery in the Lipetsk region, won the "Responsible for those" nomination with an equally decisive victory. She rescued and sheltered thousands of furry creatures abandoned by unscrupulous owners.

The Organizing committee sincerely congratulates the winners, who will rightfully receive their awards at the awards ceremony for the seventh season of the "My Affectionate and Helpful Animal". The awards ceremony will take place on April 24 and 25 in Zelenogradsk, Russia's most hospitable city.
