Our Brothers nomination: A mustachioed man named Pulya woke up a pensioner and kept her awake until she called an ambulance.
The story with the happy ending happened 80 kilometers from Rostov-on-Don. Pensioner Natalia Evdokimovna has been living with her husband in a small village of Kamenolomnya for many years. The couple live alone in a private house. The children left a long time ago, and so that they would not be bored, 10 years ago, their granddaughter gave them a cat. The kitten immediately liked the new house, he grabbed everyone by the legs with his sharp claws, played with everyone and flew around the house like a bullet, for which he received the nickname Pulya (Bullet).
And one night, when the old woman was alone, something happened that doctors would later call a great stroke of luck," Shakhtinskie Izvestia writes. Pulya sometimes liked to sleep at the feet of the owners on the bed. And when Grandma fell asleep, Pulya nestled at her feet. But at three o'clock in the morning, Natalia Evdokimovna woke up to the cat trampling on her and meowing loudly.
"I thought he needed to go for a walk, I wanted to let him out into the yard, I started to get up, I felt very dizzy. I tried to hold on to the wall, but I realized something was wrong with me. I called my son, and he called me an ambulance. The doctors arrived and took me immediately for an MRI scan," Natalia Evdokimovna Golygina said.
The doctors' diagnosis is a micro–stroke that occurred in a dream. When the cat's owner told the doctors why she woke up, the doctors said you owe your cat your life. After all, if a few more hours had passed in a dream, the consequences would have been very severe.

"We were just stunned, to be honest. If it hadn't been for the Pulya, there would have been irreversible consequences! But he didn't let me sleep, and I'm alive!" our heroine shares.
The cat has been living in the Golygin family for 10 years. Once upon a time, they already had a beloved tailed purr, but after his death, the family refused to get a pet again. There was too much grief for a family member. A 14-year-old granddaughter intervened in fate. She just brought Grandma a cat from her adopted cat.

"I didn't want to have any more pets at home. But my granddaughter caught me promising that if her cat brought kittens, I would take one. And promises need to be kept. That's how we got Pulya. My granddaughter taught him to use the tray, and so the simple cat became our family member. And he thanked me in full," Natalia Evdokimovna continues.
And Pulya is also a celebrity among the local cats. When he grew up, he became the terror of all the cats in the area, and among the cats he became known as Don Juan. After nighttime business, he often comes with a scratched face. This happened so often that the Golygins already had a discount card at the hospital.
