I'm not greeted at home by a cat on the couch or a dog at the door, but that doesn't mean they're not in my life. And even if I'm not ready to take someone into my house yet, I still feel responsible for those who are weaker, more defenseless, who look up to the world and expect at least a drop of kindness. Therefore, I help in any way I can: with money, time, and participation. For me, this is not a gesture of goodwill, but a matter of basic respect for life, which did not ask to be born, but deserves to live.
