Dear friends, on April 18, a solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the My Affectionate and Necessary Animal International Award, which has no analogues in the world, took place in Zelenogradsk.
In the sixth season, 20 candidates from 11 regions of our country, as well as from three countries of the world - Portugal, Great Britain and Belarus - applied for the honorary award in the "Our Brothers" nomination. Among the applicants, the traditional contenders - selfless and wise dogs and cats - were competed by equally selfless and wise hippopotamus, python and even bats.
In accordance with the protocol of the jury, the well-deserved awards were distributed as follows:
The winners of the season were announced as the shaggy warrior Pobeda (Kherson region, Samara), who led the fighters through minefields in the special military zone, as well as the three-legged canister therapist Rona (Kaliningrad), who helps special children learn to read.
The second place was awarded to Bagheera the cat from the Donetsk region, who repeatedly warned the fighters about approaching drones.
Brave ensign of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Tolik cat (Moscow), who is always on duty with firefighters, was recognized as the bronze medalist of the award.
The prize “For the benefit of others” by unanimous decision of the referees went to fearless beagles Rocky and Ryzhy (Tyumen region), who did not leave their little masters in trouble.
Special prizes were awarded to the shepherd dog Irbis (Kamchatka). The dog saved the owner from four bears at the cost of his health. Angelina, a tiger python from Gorno-Altaysk, shared all the difficulties of the war with her comrades at the front.
The prize of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia for the North-Western Federal District was awarded to the service dog Zhair (Ussuriysk), who prevented a bloody terrorist attack in new territories.
According to the results of Internet voting, the People's Hero trophy in the nomination “Our Brothers” was awarded to the winner of the prize, the shaggy warrior Pobeda.

In the "Responsible for those..." nomination, 44 candidates were announced for the award in the sixth season - 38 noble and courageous animal rights activists from 28 regions of Russia, as well as 8 foreign nominees from Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Argentina and the Netherlands.
The volunteers of the Nadezhda Plus KST Homeless Animal Rehabilitation Center (Kostanay, Kazakhstan), who rescued hundreds of abandoned animals during floods, were recognized as the winner in the nomination.
The founders of the Friends of the Baltic Seal Foundation (St. Petersburg), who have been saving pinniped inhabitants of the Baltic Sea for two decades, were announced as the silver medalist of the award.
The third place went to Petrus van der Wolff (the Netherlands), who created a shelter for sick and infirm horses on Sakhalin.
The prize "For the benefit of others" was awarded to employees of the Kovcheg Foundation (Stavropol), who over the years saved hundreds of our younger brothers, including from the war zone, as well as Senior Lieutenant Roman Mirzhanov from St. Petersburg (posthumously), who sheltered his dog Bullet in the area.
Special prizes were awarded to teenagers from the Moscow region - Kirill Petukhov, Nikita Kazak, Ivan Svirin and Ivan Borisov, who carried five children and three dogs out of an apartment engulfed in fire, as well as residents of the Sobolevsky district of the Kamchatka Territory and employees of the local State Inspectorate for Small Vessels and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who united in a friendly team and rescued four killer whales doomed to death.
The fifth-grader Varya Guznaeva (Lipetsk), whose mercy and responsiveness saved the life of a cat shot down on the highway, became the national hero of the nomination by the decision of the award's Online associates.
