It was necessary to rescue the clubfoot from trouble, risking being caught by a young bear who did not want to leave the cub and closely watched the police. Kamchatka AiF journalists told about this story in the north of Kamchatka, which almost turned into a tragedy.
The screaming bear cub, who could not free himself from the fishing nets, was noticed by employees of a local fish factory and called the police. A mother bear was running along the shore in a panic, which seriously complicated the situation, because no one could approach the baby.
The operative of the criminal investigation group of the police department No. 18 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation "Koryaksky", police Major Rail Abdrakhmanov and district commissioners went to the scene.
Kamchatka North is one direction, there are practically no roads, so the police fleet necessarily has not only all–terrain vehicles, but also official snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles. Many villages can only be reached with such equipment. On one of these all-terrain vehicles, the police arrived at the seine of the fish factory.
"We stopped to think about a plan of action," Rail Abdrakhmanov said, "We did not get out of the car, it is unknown what an angry mother bear is capable of. We drove as close as possible to the bear cub. We tried to untangle him, but he was not happy to see us, he bit a colleague's leg. It was a good thing he was wearing a boot, otherwise he would have bitten through his leg. So we took a ski pole, wrapped a knife on the tape, and I began to carefully cut the seine."
All this time, the mother bear was nearby. It was obvious that she was scared by a loud big car, but she did not let her cub out of her sight. And the police didn't let her out of their sight.
The place where the bear cub got into trouble is located 20 kilometers from the village of Ossora in the Karaginsky district of the Kamachta region. The fishing area of the fish factory is located there. The tide was so high that the bottom of the sea was bare and the stretched seine hung like a wall. Most likely, the bears were walking along the coast of the Bering Sea in search of fish when the baby got into trouble.
It can be assumed that the bear cub kicked to get free, but in the end only got more confused. Dirty from the black volcanic sand and wet, the baby screamed, not ceasing to fight for his life. When the police cut the net, the cub constantly bit the stick, not realizing that they were trying to save him.
"The bear is a serious predator, and here is an excited mother," continues Rail, "The bear cub is just a crumb, nevertheless, instinct forced him to defend himself, he tried to attack the knife. It was necessary to act carefully so that the baby would not get hurt. It was inconvenient to cut the seine, hanging from the height of the snowmobile, it acted gradually, weakening the seine."
And so continuously hanging down for almost twenty minutes, but the result was worth it. When the bear cub finally freed itself from the cut net, it rushed towards the forest to the happy mother, to the cries of the district police officers: "Run, bro, run."

Alexander and Tatiana Babaeva could not get past the tiny stork chick, who was left all alone after the strongest storm. The journalists of Belgorodskaya Pravda told how a real drama played out in the village of Setnoye in the Korochansky district of the Belgorod region. A raging wind knocked down a nest of white storks near the house of Alexander and Tatiana Babaev. The adult birds managed to fly to the river, and the chicks, who were barely a month old, fell down.
Tatiana rushed to check the chicks. At first, she thought that all four were dead. "I'm shouting: Sasha, look, the nest has fallen! – Tatiana recalls. – And get there quickly. Three are dead and one is still moving. I wrapped him in a warm sweater. He's all wet, shaking, his heart is pounding. They took him to the barn to the chickens, began to warm him up with a hairdryer. They thought he wouldn't live to see the morning."
All night the Babaevs did not close their eyes, worried and simultaneously studied the information about what storks eat. Then Alexander, with a flashlight in the rain, collected earthworms for the baby for several hours. And he immediately managed to come up with a name for the chick. "He was so wonderful, defenseless, pathetic," says Alexander Babaev, "Well, definitely Mityai."
When the owners looked into the barn in the morning, to their great joy they found the chick alive and very hungry. That's where the worms came in handy.
The Babaev family watched with great interest how adult storks incubate their offspring in the nest. In April, the female sat on the eggs and a month and a half later the first squeak sounded from the nest. "Even before the hurricane, we read that storks can throw weak chicks out of the nest. Natural selection. And at that time we were still thinking, maybe we should pull the net at the bottom. And if they are thrown out, we will take care of them ourselves. They didn't throw it away, but the hurricane tried," says the head of the family.
To make the stork comfortable, a nest was built in the yard for him, because the baby did not know how to fly yet. They were fed him with chicken giblets and everything that would be caught in the local river - small carp, roaches, minnows, frogs, lizards and grasshoppers. And the new mother taught the chick to fly – Tatyana Babaeva ran with Mitya across the fields, waving her arms like wings until he took off.
When the stork grew up, specialists from Kursk came to the rescue and ringed the bird. After all, he needs to be released and accustomed to an independent life, storks are migratory birds, and Mityai also needs to join the flock and fly to warmer climes.
"I've already become attached to him, I'm going out, he's running towards me. I talk to him, he answers. It will be a pity to let him go. But it is necessary, because it will be better for him," Alexander Babaev shares. – They say storks are good luck. I keep hoping that Mityai will help me too. I have cancer, after all. Maybe he came to us to heal me. Maybe it will take wing, fly away at the end of summer and return to us next spring. And I'll meet him!"
Quite recently, Mityai found a flock for himself and, quite unexpectedly for everyone, took to the sky and flew to warmer climes. But the Babayev family is waiting and hoping that next spring, in the nest near their house, which they have thoroughly strengthened, they will again hear the familiar chirping of their Mitya.

Stories about the friendship of the Russian military and animals in the special operation zone are very common today. And often, this friendship is the strongest and most real. The guys together with dogs and cats serve on the front line, fight together. Many soldiers get dogs and cats that go out with them on combat missions or wait for their return in dugouts and trenches. Someone then takes the tailed and striped ones to their home during vacations, if such an opportunity suddenly presents itself.
Our hero Bagheera, who has been talked about in the media more than once, serves in the artillery troops in the zone of a special military operation. According to Russian fighters, this black beauty has an excellent nose for Ukrainian drones. Moreover, she is able to give "signals" when she senses the approach of enemy drones. The cat's place of observation is a tall tree, where it climbs for service.
With tenacious claws, the cat climbs trees and tracks down the enemy's "birds" from a bird's-eye view. In the fighters' camp, especially at night, you can often hear soldiers calling their little black panther.
"What is it, Bagheera? Is everything okay? Are you watching the drones? Well, where are you climbing even higher, what's in the sky, Bagheera?" the guys ask their combat friend.
There was even a video about Bagheera on the web. In the telegram channel of the Popular Front, the black combat unit was nicknamed: "Model Bagheera ." And they even came up with such an almost professional description: "High cross-country capability, built-in locators, dynamic protection system "K.O.G.T.I.", has turbo mode and stealth mode, with two tracking devices on 16 pixels and a specific power of one cat power."
And most importantly, of course, the soldiers themselves tell us that the black cat does not bring bad luck at all, but on the contrary actively helps our fighters on the front line and, importantly, raises their morale.
